Frosted Friends Boarding

Consider boarding your special dog, known to us as “Frosted Friends,” at our tranquil Ramona facility! We are able to accommodate Frosted Friends of all ages during your time of absence, providing them with the same dignified care that you do at home. We welcome you to tour the property during Open House before your Frosted Friend’s stay and meet with the Kennel Managers!

All boarding fees support the rescue efforts of Frosted Faces Foundation, an organization dedicated to fulfilling the promise of family and quality veterinary care for senior animals whose love and lives are in jeopardy. The cost to board your Frosted Friend is $50/day. Register now!
*We do NOT charge extra for administering medication, giving baths, offering walks, or preparing special foods.

We will do our absolute best for you and your Frosted Friend and will keep you regularly updated with photos and videos upon request at no charge so you can make informed decisions for your pet.

We specialize in boarding senior pets, and we can accommodate:

  • quieter, slower paced play groups

  • more comfortable bedding

  • management of incontinence

  • help with mobility and ground with increased traction

  • prescription/home cooked diets

  • medications administered

  • additional supervision and precautions due to impaired eyesight and/or hearing

WARNING: It must be said that it is very common for senior dogs to decline when they experience a change of environment, especially for an extended period of time, and even more so, when they have existing chronic conditions. We often see seniors experience tummy upset, inappetence, dehydration, additional soreness and lethargy, disorientation, exacerbation of chronic diseases, or even death during or after their stay. This is why many commercial boarding facilities do not accommodate seniors. We highly encourage you to interview in-home pet sitters for your senior before pursuing a stay at any boarding facility.

Please keep in mind you are utilizing a shelter facility for boarding where viruses, bacteria, and parasites may occur and are prevalent in close quarters.

Safety Net Boarding

We offer FREE temporary boarding to pets whose parents require hospitalization or are experiencing hardship. We can offer up to 30 days of grace so that you can pursue treatment or gather resources to gain stability, with the reassurance that your pet is okay and can be reunited.
